Mystery Solved!

Thanks to My Vintage Vogue, the mystery has been solved. My doppelganger's name is Charlotte Payne. Here are a couple of blog posts I found about her.  










I'm very happy that I found out who she is. I'm also very happy to share her face.

Pretty as a Model

This all started while I was sharing my extensive catalog collection. A friend showed me a picture of one of the models, and said, "She looks just like you!" I had browsed this particular catalog numerous times, but was too enamored with the clothes to pay attention to any of the model's faces. As I collected more catalogs, I started looking for her (my) face. She was quite a busy bee in the early 1950s! Everyone has urged me to find out who she was. Harper's Bazaar 1949

I follow  My Vintage Vouge  on several platforms. As I was scrolling through Facebook, I stopped in my tracks. MVV posted a picture of my doppleganger! I never expected to see her in a high fashion magazine. I feel like I am getting really close to finding out who she is. I cannot find contact information for Harper's Bazaar, nor a page for Lillian Bassman. So, I'm hoping the model information is listed in the magazine. Again, if anyone knows how who to get in contact with to find out this information, please let me know. I found an ad from the September 1949 Vogue magazine.  This ad is also from My Vintage Vogue and is dated 1950.
